In 2014 Inspiring Leaders set out to become a centre of excellence for Initial Teacher Training, ongoing teacher professional development and school leadership training. Since 2014 we have trained over 300 new teachers in the East Midlands across both Primary and Secondary phases and through our wider Inspiring Leaders partnership, we have also delivered leadership training to over 1900 school leaders in the area through the National Professional Qualifications Programmes

We have become recognised in the region for being a successful partnership of schools who are committed to delivering excellent opportunities for our staff throughout their careers.

The training programme is first class. Specialists, including headteachers, senior leaders and specialist leaders of education (SLEs), are involved in the delivery. Trainees gain a multiplicity of opportunities to develop as practitioners, including in a range of differing, often challenging, school contexts. We offer our trainees more than just teacher training route, we offer the chance of a career. Through our partnerships we offer those who go on to be employed with us:

  • Un-rivalled support in your training year which will continue into your first year a fully qualified teacher as part of our Newly Qualified Teaching programme.
  • The opportunity to progress your career within your school and established partnership due to progressive approach to staff CPDL and stretch opportunities.
  • The chance to strive to leadership training through our nationally recognised Inspiring Leaders qualifications.

Our partnership works hard to support and develop all staff, providing a range of bespoke opportunities and support to ensure you maximise your potential. We want all of our trainees to be supported and know that when you are ready to make the next step in your career, we can provide you with the next positive step in your route to achieving great satisfaction and professional fulfilment.

Whilst we do not employ all of our trainees within our partnership we do have very high rates of employment with over 95% of trainees gaining employment within a year of leaving the programme.
